City Walk

City Walk is a new commercial district owned by property developer, Meraas Holding. The dynamic outdoor concept provides visitors a variety of high-end retail outlets, restaurants, leisure and lifestyle options designed to emulate a typical city ‘high street’.

The UAE’s shopping landscape mainly consists of indoor malls due to the extreme heat of the summer months, it is therefore extremely rare to find a development such as City Walk anywhere in the Middle East.

Deckshield ID was chosen to coat the 65,000m² underground car park facility. Designers based their design on a Monopoly board theme, using Flowcrete floors to create colours and design signage that imitates the popular board game.

The outlandish design is comprised of various different colours , all of which were manufactured to segregate the numerous areas of the car park, making it easier for visitors to locate their vehicle amongst the masses.

The car park decking system, Deckshield ID cosmetically enhances and reduces noise, making multi storey car parks brighter, safer environments to visit. Deckshield is suitable for refurbishment of existing car parks and on new construction projects.
