Flowcrete products were specified for a renovation project at Hoerbiger’s manufacturing plant in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai.

Hoerbiger is a manufacturer of performance-defining components for technological niche markets. From the Hoerbiger steel plate valve, to many other developments in automation, compression and drive technology.

The client needed a flooring system that would stand up to the daily rigours of the manufacturing industry and therefore decided to use Flowcrete materials to provide them with the stylish yet robust flooring that they required.

A total of 800m² of Flowcrete’s high performance, industrial epoxy resin coating system Flowcoat SF41 was installed in early 2015 to provide a hardwearing, coloured flooring system for the site. The renovation work also needed to be completed without disturbing standard operational hours. The installation was carried out in stages over three weeks during the weekend downtime periods.

Different slip resistance grades can be achieved by including aggregates between coats of Flowcoat SF41, making it ideal for use in areas such as factories, warehouses, storerooms, plant rooms, light production and process areas.

The client was delighted with the end result and that the renovation was completed on schedule and before the arrival of some special visitors to the facility.
