Flowcrete floors were chosen by ASCO FZCO to create a new floor finish in its workshop located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone South.

ASCO are renowned as the thermal coating spray experts for the oil, gas, pump transmission and aerospace sectors throughout the Middle East.

The client required a hardwearing surface to guard against heavy materials, chemical spillages and regular forklift truck traffic.

A new coating was required after the company’s previous flooring showed signs of deterioration around the edges and entrance of the facility owing to the aforementioned heavy forklift truck traffic.

Flowcoat SF41 was deemed as the ideal fit for the project as its hardwearing qualities make it perfect for environments such as factories, warehouses, workshops and storerooms where high resistance against chemical attack is also essential.

900sqm of the high performance, epoxy resin coating Flowcoat SF41 was laid in the workshop providing excellent chemical and slip resistance due to the graded aggregates between coats of the solvent free system.

The resin flooring specialists and their licensed applicator also had to level the floor during the three-day installation process and the client was thrilled with the end result.
